Just-launched Maxx-Dri Vest 5.0 is the result of a decade of improvements. It's the most adjustable, and provides the most ventiliation/air flow between body and armor, of all versions.

Maxx-Dri Vest ("MDV") is a revolutionary product that makes wearing body armor more bearable. Some 300,000 police, military, and other wearers of body armor have embraced Maxx-Dri Vest since we launched version 1.0 a decade ago as the flagship product in the founding of 221B Tactical.

MDV's patented lightweight material, a honeycomb weave with holes, separates your body from your armor. We call this, "creating a layer of space" between your armor and your body. It lets the body breathe under the armor. Heat and perspiration can get out, and fresh air can come in. In hot weather, you stay cool. In cold weather, you don't freeze from frozen sweat after going in and out of cars and buildings. MDV 5.0 makes wearing body armor much more bearable.

• More Adjustable, More Ventilation: Maxx-Dri Vest 5.0 provides greater comfort in both hot and cold weather, with these five improvements over v4.0 and all other versions
• Removable Side Straps. In v4.0, the side straps are permanently attached to the back of the vest and attach to the front with hook-and-loop material. This doesn't work for everyone. Many users cut the strap off. They want to quickly throw the vest on, throw the body armor on top of that, and make all adjustments with the armor vest. With v5.0, the side straps attach to both front and back with hook-and-loop, and can be completely removed.
• Greater Adjust-ability of Side Straps. Because the side straps are now fastened with hook-and-loop material on both ends, they can be length-adjusted on each end. This makes the vest fully adjustable. It provides more (or less) length to adjust for girth, and enables you to vary that from one side to the other.
• Less Movement, Better Stability. To better keep your armor in place, to keep it from shifting, we added non-slip grip material to the front as well as the back MDV 5.0. On v4.0, this grip material is only on the back. Note that this all-around grip material is helpful if you want to remove the side straps.
• Upgraded Material. The patented material is now 1.5mm thicker than on v4.0, expanding the layer of space between your body and your armor. In addition, the holes in the honeycomb weave are now larger, so more air gets through.
• Extended Coverage. We've extended the length of the material along the torso and rib cage by one inch on each side. This gives you more coverage under your armor: More heat and moisture escaping. More air flow. More total ventilation.
• Made from a highly durable polymer with triple- reinforced stitching, Maxx-Dri Vest is nearly indestructible.
